Terms and Conditions of Use (EULA)

1. End User License Agreement (EULA)

This End User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you and the developer of iConsume ("Developer"). By downloading, installing, or using the iConsume application ("App"), you agree to the terms of this agreement. If you do not agree, do not download or use the App.

This license is supplementary to the Apple Standard License Agreement (EULA), which also applies.

2. License Grant

The Developer grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with the Apple App Store usage rules.

3. Service Description

iConsume is a utility consumption management app (water, gas, electricity, heating) for homes. The App allows you to record meter readings, calculate consumption, set deadlines, and view statistics.

4. Account and Data

Your data is securely stored through Google Firebase. You are responsible for the accuracy of the readings you enter. iConsume does not guarantee the correctness of final bills issued by utility providers.

5. Auto-Renewable Subscriptions and Payments

iConsume offers free features and premium features available through auto-renewable subscriptions (iConsume PRO).

• Available subscriptions: Monthly and Annual.
• Payment is processed through your Apple ID (iTunes) account. Payment is charged upon confirmation of purchase.
• Auto-renewal: The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Renewal charge: Your account will be charged for renewal up to 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the selected subscription price.
• Management and cancellation: You can manage subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal in Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions on your Apple device.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to PRO features until the paid period expires.
• Free trial: If offered, any unused portion of the free trial period is forfeited upon purchasing a subscription.

6. Advertisements

Users on the free version may see ads served by Google AdMob. Users with an active PRO subscription will not see any ads.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful and personal purposes. It is prohibited to use the App for fraudulent activities, malware distribution, reverse engineering, or attempting to compromise the security of the service.

8. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the App, including design, source code, logos, and content, belong to the Developer. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App.

9. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services that have their own terms and conditions:

• Google Firebase — authentication and data storage
• Google AdMob — ad serving
• Apple App Store — payment processing

10. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. The Developer is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the App. The Developer's maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the last 12 months.

11. Termination

This license is valid until terminated. Your rights will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any of the terms of this agreement. Upon termination, you must cease using the App and delete it from your devices.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Any disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts of Romania.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms. Changes will be communicated through App updates. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
